It’s easy to make, and you can feel good knowing your little one is getting a scrumptious and healthy meal for dinner or lunch!

Can babies have blue cheese?

All soft and aged cheeses are generally recommended to be introduced until after 12-months of age, just like honey.

So, if your baby is younger than one, it’s safer to stick with just the sharp cheddar cheese.

If the baby is over one, feel free to talk to your pediatrician if you feel squeamish, but once my daughter was over one, I fed her all the blue cheese!

She loves it!

How to cut the chicken

Depending on your baby’s age, it could be better to cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces or serve longer chicken strips for them to try.

If your baby has more teeth and is older than one, you can slice your chicken a long way, just like the avocado.

Your baby can use their palms to hold it and eat.

If baby has very few teeth and under one years of age, cut your chicken into bite sized pieces to be safe, it’s also a great way for them to practice their pincer grasp.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Hard Boiled Egg
  • 1 tbsp Bacon Bits You're welcome to simply grill your own bacon too!
  • 1 tbsp Crumbled Blue Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Grilled Chicken
  • 1/2 Chopped or Sliced Avocado
  • 4 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Packaged Diced Ham
  • 2 tbsp Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Wash your cherry tomatoes
  • Using a grape cutter or knife, cut your cherry tomatoes in half or in fours.
  • Cook your chicken until completely cooked through on medium heat.
  • Once your chicken is cooked, dice it up into safe bite-sized pieces.
  • Cut your Avocado into slices or diced.
  • Cut your hard boiled egg into four slices long ways.
  • Assemble your eggs, tomatoes, chicken, blue cheese crumbles, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon and diced am onto your toddler plate.
