The best family fall outfits for photoshoots.
My husband and I absolutely love the fall! Since moving to North Carolina, nothing beats the fall aesthetic. The leaves changing, for me, is one of the most exciting things about fall! Around the time my daughter was 16 months or so, we took our first fall family photos.
The leaves were in the middle of changing, and the colors were absolutely stunning. It was so much fun searching for clothes for Annabelle to wear, and it was exciting to put together some of my favorite looks to collaborate.
However, family photos look best when everyone is confident and looks good. So be sure to hold on loosely and allow your family to breathe while guiding them in the general direction regarding the colors you are thinking of. The rest is up to them. We aren’t perfect, and there’s no point in convincing others we are!
Making those memories is one of the best things about getting fall pictures done, especially for the rest of the family. We took photos at a nearby wheat farm and park; it was beautiful. Hopefully, they can help you spark ideas for what to wear for fall family photos!

We went very simple with our fall family outfit looks. After all, we were out in the wheat fields and needed to consider that! It was a lovely evening, so I wore my Fashion Nova 70’s flair jeans and rustic brown ribbed bodysuit.
I wore my suede boots to navigate the outdoors better and keep my feet warm.
First and foremost, I wanted to make sure Annabelle was comfortable. I opted for this long-sleeved skirt outfit from Amazon. To prevent her legs from getting cold, I added knitted pantyhose.
She was very comfortable and able to traverse the outdoors just fine!
My husband dressed himself and loved green, so he went with that!
